The Sphinx is one of the few tummy positions in the Kamasutra. The female lies on her tummy. She lifts her upper body slightly, pulling her forearms under her to hold the majority of her weight. She bends one leg up, pulling her knee in toward her body. The other leg remains stretched out. The male partner approaches from behind, placing one hand on either side of her hips. He enters from this position, his body positioned on the inside of her outstretched leg.
